App privacy

No account or advertising

The app does not ask for a child's name, date of birth, photographs, microphone access or location. It contains no advertising or usage analytics SDKs.

Data on your device

Playlists, favourites, playback positions, settings and activity or guide completion markers are stored on your device and are not sent to the creator. They remain until you delete them. They may be included in backups you manage through Apple; downloaded media is excluded.

The parent PIN is stored in protected form in Keychain until reset. Device-owner authentication is handled by the operating system; the app does not receive biometric data. Drawings are temporary, last only for the open session and are not uploaded.

Video and network access

The first episode and subtitles are bundled. Local playback does not require a connection to a content server. Version 1.1.0 allows a parent to refresh the public catalog and download or stream episodes from sikalias.org. These requests expose the network address and requested resource to the server, but do not send playlists, favourites, drawing content or the parent PIN. Downloads are kept locally until removed. Version 1.0.0 does not refresh the catalog.

If you open the website or an external source from the parent area, the destination server receives necessary connection information, such as the IP address and requested page, under that website's policy. See the sikalias.org website privacy policy. Visiting a website is separate from local playback in the app.

Speech

Short stories use device speech synthesis without microphone access. English video narration is a prerecorded synthetic voice track. Playback does not send text to a voice-generation service.

Support and deletion

If you contact us, we use your contact details and request to reply. Do not include children's personal data. You can ask about or request deletion of your support correspondence using the contact above. We cannot remotely access your local playlists.
