Manage and delete data

Local data

Open the parent area and use the option to clear local preferences. This removes the playlists, favourites, playback positions and local progress markers covered by that option. Drawings are not permanently saved.

The four bundled episodes — Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron and Zinc in iOS 1.4.2 — remain in the installation. Clearing all local data also removes additional downloads. The parent PIN is retained; use device-owner authentication to reset it. Manage Apple backups separately in your Apple settings.

Remove and restore an episode — new iOS 1.4.3

These options require update 1.4.3 through the App Store when it becomes available. In the parent area, Remove episode frees one of the four slots in the active offline library. Both narrations of the same episode use one slot.

For a preinstalled episode, removal affects the active library and does not reduce the app’s installation size. The episode can return with Restore offline when a slot is free. For an additional download, that episode’s local videos are deleted.

Clearing all local data in 1.4.3 removes additional downloads and personal preferences and reactivates the four preinstalled episodes. The parent PIN is retained. This does not delete server logs or information you sent to support.

No Why Lab account

You do not need to request deletion of an app account because no Why Lab account is created.

Support correspondence and server logs

For information you sent to support or for server connection logs, you can request information, access or deletion at stasinos@sikalias.net. This includes logs from catalog refreshes or downloads within the app, as well as website visits or online playback.

These logs may contain an IP address, date and time, requested page or file, HTTP response status, response size and referrer, when supplied. They are not described as anonymous. Clearing local preferences or downloads and uninstalling the app do not automatically delete logs already created on the server.

Describe the request and service involved. Do not send children's names, drawings, your parent PIN or device passcode. We will explain how your request is handled, any clarifications needed to locate the relevant data, and any information that must be retained.
