The mystery of the label

Eirini, Nefeli and Pico discover that an ingredient’s name and its role tell us different things. A label becomes a starting point for questions, paper cards and a family conversation.

Name and role

One word, one question, one discovery

Paper and coloured pencils. Optionally, a closed package held by a grown-up.

1. A grown-up reads one word from an ingredient list. Your child does not need to read yet.
2. Draw the name or something that reminds you of it. Ask: what would we like to find out?
3. Discuss a possible role. If you do not know it, keep the question to investigate together.

With a grown-up · Do not open, taste or mix products. A conversation is a complete activity.
